How ADU fees changed, schedule to schedule
When a city’s earlier fee schedule is still published, we read the same lines in it and show what they would have cost for a 1,000 sq ft ADU then and now. Only official documents count; we don’t fill gaps with estimates.

Method
What counts as a change
We compare an earlier official schedule with the one in force now, line by line, for the lines both documents price. Earlier figures come from the city’s own documents: an earlier schedule, a prior-fee column in the current one, or a schedule attached to an official report. Where we used a web archive to find a document a city has since removed, we cite the city’s document. Places without a published earlier schedule aren’t listed.
