How a line is computed

Example: an impact fee of $10,000 per new home, for a 1,000 sq ft ADU next to a 2,000 sq ft main home, is charged at 1,000 ÷ 2,000 = 50%, or $5,000. From 2027, under SB 1117, only the 250 sq ft over 750 would count: 250 ÷ 2,000 = 12.5%, or $1,250.
